Because we made it complicated… No, the answer lies much deeper than that!
So why is life so hard?
Even if we try so hard to pretend that we are not fucked up, in fact, we all are. Look at your life! What are you doing? Are you enjoying your life? What percentage of your day, of your life is dedicated to yourself? What about your thoughts? Your Emotions? People that surround you? Do you even matter? Most probably you don’t. Meanwhile, you try hard to fit in, to be loved, to have meaningful connections. Why do you even do it? Because you are scared of loneliness. Why do you do? Because you haven’t found yourself, your self-love and self-sufficientness zone, because you are heavily dependent on others’ opinions and attitude…
Start from not caring much about every single thing
Now what? You are a responsible person caring about your duties… Why you are a responsible person? Because if you are late from job they will kick you out! If you don’t earn enough no more friends and even family around. And scared, in continuous stress we keep on doing what we have to do, not even thinking how long we are able to handle that tension, is it somehow the thing we dreamed about doing, is it at least in the field of our competencies? No, poor us… We don’t even have time to refresh on this kind of serious stuff…
And our phones (thanks Steve Jobs) and our social media (thanks Mark Zuckerberg) take away the remaining little consciousness and capacity to think from us, also taking most of our time, energy and isolating us from people. And how much energy social media takes… How upset it makes us? How much negativity? Blame! Everybody there is a journalist, everybody is a philosopher, everybody considers telling their opinion about things as a holy responsibility.
Quality standards for what we consume as informational and entertainment material went extremely low, extremely depressing. Also on social media, the emphasis is on showing off, trying to show how “happy” we are, how “successful” we are… With the new psychology and propaganda of our age, we all need to be successful, we all should become stars, and guess what! Almost nobody does! Almost nobody succeeds! And all these people are left brokenhearted, stressed, considered losers in modern decorational society!
Why you should even think about being “successful”?
You came to the world to live and enjoy, to be in good form, in good health, to take care of yourself and the people you care about, to do the things you love! But no! With the modern stereotypes you are chained! If you are not a hero you are a shit! So you will become a hero or die, many gurus, life coaches, and motivators even put it that way… The word loser is considered to be one of the worst adjectives… So you really die in a direct or metaphorical sense.
You forget all your values, everything truly meaningful for you, your loved ones, all you love, all you have you sacrifice for becoming a “winner”. And guess what? The chances are very low because many brainwashed are killing each other and racing like crazy on that way to the “glory”… But you were told it’s worth it… If you reach there everybody will know your name, everybody will see the picture of your butt on Instagram, you will travel in yachts and private jets, you will date the most beautiful men and women…
Everything is boolshit!
Yes, they have lied to you! And you haven’t even had time to think on that. They stole your happiness, time and everything precious and gave you the vision of a “great possible you” and you are running there breaking your legs, almost breathless, abandoning everything you have, as they are heavy and make you run slower. And one day you will look back and all that you will see is a desert, a deserted life, a wasted life!
You are beautiful, you are a star for some people, you have hobbies, there are things you love, things you enjoy doing, you have peace of mind, health, family, friends…
Never sacrifice all this, never sacrifice your health and happiness in exchange for money. Instead do what you love, what you are good at and you will have the most successful life.
Though money is not the definition of success, but I can guarantee that money and recognition will also be there, because we are the best in what we love and enjoy.
